Breitling Unveils Its First Boutique In Scotland With An Industrial Concept On Glasgow's Buchanan Street, In Partnership With The Watches of Switzerland Group

Swiss luxury watchmaker Breitling announces the opening of its first boutique in Scotland with the arrival of its urban loft retail concept to Glasgow’s Buchanan Street. The addition of this prime city centre location strengthens Breitling’s growing boutique presence across the UK - defined by the brand’s signature cool style and informal feel. A relaxed innovative design, the Glasgow boutique stands in bold contrast to classical luxury retail brand environments. The boutique is to be managed by the Watches of Switzerland Group, the UK’s largest luxury retailer of brands including Watches of Switzerland, Goldsmiths and Mappin & Webb.

A BOUTIQUE WITH INDUSTRIAL FLARE

Located on Buchannan Street in the vibrant heart of Glasgow, the 60m2 boutique is an artful, modern interpretation of the stylish spaces that characterised mid-century industrial buildings. Breitling’s signature cool and informal retail environment is inspired by the time when Breitling timepieces and measuring tools earned the brand its reputation for the world’s greatest chronographs.

A carefully selected blend of materials, colours, textures and patterns contribute to the contemporary, comfortable urban loft feeling. Featuring brick walls, walnut furniture, leather upholstery and dark oak floors, these rich and refined materials are juxtaposed against rough and rugged elements including concrete walls, brass and metal accents and contemporary graffiti artwork. Glasgow’s emblematic cityscape can be viewed through a loft window, a nod to the city as the new home of Breitling in Scotland.

Breitling’s revered collections are offered within modern industrial vitrine display cases, bookcase-like structures that invite customers to discover the brand’s worlds of Air, Sea, and Land - the three environments where Breitling timepieces have long distinguished themselves. Iconic collections including Chronomat, Navitimer, and Premier sit alongside inspirational imagery of Breitling’s best in class #squadonamission ambassadors.

The brand’s signature Watch Bar provides the perfect place to sit down and be hands-on with the watches, in front of the retro yellow back panel with industrial metal gridwork, recalling the colour that has long been associated with the brand.

The innovative and inclusive design evokes the sensation of a contemporary urban home where customers can feel entirely relaxed whilst exploring Breitling’s entire product range in a relaxed, unhurried atmosphere.  The extensive collection includes exclusive limited editions such as the Premier Watches of Switzerland Limited Edition, which launched last year to celebrate its long-standing partnership with the Watches of Switzerland Group.
